Nearly 20 years after 911, and we're still grateful for crumbs...
A recent Jihad Watch posting had a misleading headline:
Professor Jordan Peterson declares “Islam is not compatible with democracy” ...
Actually, Peterson was a good bit more elliptical and less bold (as I've found him to be before). As our old friend "The Big W" pointed out, what the good Professor actually said (according to Sputnik News) was:
“It is not clear to me that Islam would be compatible with democracy,” he said in an interview with Hungarian newspaper Magyar Nemzet. “We have no evidence that it would be.”
And leave it to Big W to hit the nail on the head -- sure, a little hamfistedly, but hey, I'd rather have someone who gets the actual problem on my team rather than someone like Peterson who hems and haws while Rome burns:
LMAO–“It is not clear to me” ha ha. Well, it IS clear to me, an’ I don’t need no PhfreakingD to know that Islam ain’t compatible with democracy or with decent human society.
Meanwhile, none of the other of the Readership were able to quite say what Big W expressed so effortlessly. Sure, a few commenters on that Jihad Watch article said in a sort of roundabout way (thus committing the same faux pas Peterson did!) that Peterson wasn't firm enough; but usually couched in terms of "well, it's so hard these days to go against political correctness...!" etc. Most seemed to be lauding him for the crumbs that fell from his more mainstream table onto the Counter-Jihad floor.
So at what point will the Counter-Jihad expect more -- not mere crumbs, but a robust, piping-hot meat pie (i.e., the unvarnished truth about Islam) -- from those we supposedly admire as being above political correctness (as Jordan Peterson is touted to be)...? Before or after Muslims succeed in destroying our societies...?
