I've seen a lot of "Real Problemers" in various nooks and crannies of the Counter-Jihad over the years (as I've analyzed now and then on this blog and my previous blog, The Hesperado); but until recently -- specifically June 3rd, 2019, at about 10:00 pm -- I'd never seen it in quite so stark an articulation. And precisely because of its starkness, it was all the more disturbing, given that the one articulating should know by now how bad Islam is.
I speak of one "Wellington", a long-time veteran commenter on Jihad Watch for about 15 years, and one of the more intelligent to boot. However, as I've had run-ins with Wellington over the years, I was not utterly shocked by his recent statement. Still, it was dismaying; and perhaps what disturbed me so much was to see some of the flaws of the Counter-Jihad (about which I've written many times over the years) suddenly laid bare in all its forceful starkness.
So what did Wellington say, my 4.5 readers may wonder at this juncture. Well, Pepe, I'm glad you ask. Let me quote it in full (bolded portion(s) are added by me):

Here in America the real enemy, the ultimate enemy, is not Islam. No, rather it is the Democratic Party which by the year is becoming increasingly unhinged and an enemy of America.
The Democratic Party of old, which stood for liberty and the rule of law (though with too much of an inclination for more government from FDR, even from Wilson, onward as this conservative sees matters) is a thing of the past. There are still faint Democratic political vapors out there, led by people like Dershowitz and Liberman and recalling the Democratic Party of a bygone era, though they are dwindling rapidly, and now the Democrats are led either by half-crazies, examples being Pelosi and Schumer, full crazies, examples being AOC and Nadler, or the completely evil, examples being Omar and Tlaib.
Compounding “the problem” is that about half of the Republican Party is utterly clueless. Such people as Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan and Pat Toomey come to mind.
This is not a “good mix” for America, for the West in general, for liberty, even for sanity. Count on it and know full well that bastions of iniquity and lunacy, like Islam and what the Democratic Party of America has become, are “waiting in the wings” to take full advantage of this extreme low point in American history.
I mean, after those first two sentences, one doesn't need to read the rest of that bloviation (unless, of course, the following sentences said, "Holy crap! Scratch what I said in my first two sentences! I was dreadfully, drastically WRONG...!!!" But of course, no such luck have we. As I said above, on one level, I wasn't really surprised to see Wellington go that far, because I'd already seen signs of that disposition, years ago.
For example, I analytically documented this general issue in an essay on The Hesperado back in October of 2016 -- Apparently, the Constitution is a Suicide Pact... -- in which old Wellington, arguing with me on this general topic, featured prominently. A juicier quote from the horse's mouth in this regard would be hard to find:
Let's face it, the vast majority of Muslims in America, confused human beings though they are (on this I know we can agree), do not commit any ACTS which are prosecutable.
And, as I remarked in my final paragraph of that essay:
"Apparently, these past 13 years of reading Jihad Watch have failed to impress upon Wellington the uniqueness of this asymmetrical world war we are in. That rather revealing off-the-cuff remark of his reflects what I would call the State Dept. Counter-Terrorism Expert Analysis Protocol of the Eternal "Whack-a-Mo" Initiative. Which will only work to save us if the problem of Muslims following their global revival of Islam is not, in fact, systemic and metastasizing. Is Wellington so sure he'd like to bet that it isn't?"
If that weren't bad enough, back in December of 2014, I documented another Wellington solecism from a month prior (he addressing me as "voegelinian" -- my nickname on Jihad Watch at the time):
Muslims in America, voegelinian, are simply not mass-murdering Americans. Yes, there are numerous Muslim atrocities in America over the past twenty years or so but the chances that an American will be killed by a Muslim still remains infinitesimally small—-a tiny, tiny fraction of a 1% chance. So, you get this wrong. And you will get nowhere by saying something to the effect that such mass murders will occur in the future. They might but legally acting upon this “might” is simply not going to happen.
At the time, I had a lengthy response, on the pages of Jihad Watch comments (which no one, including Wellington, responded to, naturally). Here follows my response:

This is a straw man. It astounds that such a long-time Jihad Watch reader & veteran would even proffer such a straw man — as though the only danger comes from visibly exploding & beheading Muslims (or lighting a fuse or brandishing a sword). After all these years of reading JW, Wellington cannot connect those thousands of dots that link all Muslims together (“in America” — and anywhere) in their ideology which is a living blueprint for our mass-murder, and the planned destruction of our society (which destruction does not have to succeed to be robustly defended against with proactive intelligence and action). Astounding.
Then Wellington had to reiterate his Maginot Line:

Wellington only puts two things on the table here —
1) a living blueprint for mass-murder
2) actual mass-murder
— omitting a crucial third thing:
3) a living blueprint for mass-murder that
a) has already been activated several times (um, remember 911…? — and every plot to mass-murder us that we have luckily aborted counts in addition to the plots that have been horribly realized)
b) that thrives in various parts of the world in a context of intent for the worst (e.g., al qaeda’s explicit goal discovered in the 1990s to mass-murder 2 to 3 million Americans) — to try to wreak utmost havoc on us at times and places we may well not be able to predict; an intent that, again, is systemic (broad-based & whose extent is unknown by us) and metastasizing (getting horribly worse).
Factoring in 3a+b — as Wellington strangely, astoundingly continues to fail to do after all these years of plowing through the drearily ghastly mountains of dots and oceans of data Jihad Watch has been reporting over a decade year after year, month after month, week after week, day after day — we can no longer be as complacently abstract about this problem as Wellington seems to be.
Every week that I survey a week’s report on Jihad Watch of the ghastly, ghoulish, horrific, terrifying hill of oozing deadly toxic shit Muslims spew out, I am boggled, aggrieved and increasingly sickened by the Jihad Watch Softies who continue, in November of 2014, to think in 9:18 a.m 9/11/01 terms.
Wellington’s response to this, then, was telling – the “Leftist Two-Step” (of course he would protest that he’s “not a Leftist” – but that’s precisely the problem with the asymptotic mind, which is the Counter-Jihad retention of PC MC which, in turn, is Leftism Lite palatable enough to be swallowed and regurgitated even by self-identified conservatives). His Leftist Two-Step caused him to respond with the reflex spasm of suddenly resorting to the pragmatic objection of how deportation could be legally sanctioned in America, given the Constitution, and also pulling out the old “where are you going to deport the Muslims to canard (which is so asinine it boggles the mind and takes one’s breath away to see uttered by a long-time Jihad Watch reader), after he had been droning on about the substantive objection (that Muslims in America somehow, magically, are less deadly than Muslims elsewhere in the world). Thus his Leftist Two-Step:
“Your phantom distinction, voegelinian, between 1) “a blueprint for mass murder” and 3) “a blueprint for mass murder” followed by a) and b) aside, I request again, assuming you are completely correct about the necessity of deportation of Muslims en masse from America, how you propose this can be accomplished, taking into account the American judiciary, the Congress, how the “round-up” will occur, the destination that Muslims will be sent to, where they will be received, etc….”
Notice my bold emphasis of that little “aside” – which rhetorically and casually nudges off the table of consideration the 911 Twin Tower attacks (not to mention the dozens of other attacks Muslims have plotted against Americans in years after up to the ongoing flaming present).
