Once again, this "daily" blog has been as dead as a doornail for nearly two months. My last posting here was February 23, adverting to my "annual" posting on my deader blog of old (The Hesperado) a couple of days earlier, on the 21st. Just as with the "annual" posting 2 years prior, February 21, 2020, a major convulsion of the world by our crazy-cum-conspiratorial Leftist Globalists hadn't quite hit yet, so that posting was oddly absent of anything Covid-related; so too, my latest this past February was eerily Ukraine-free. Hopefully, my next annual posting in 2023 won't have to mention Russia or Ukraine -- though that may be a mischievous Genie's third wish that grants it only in the form of a posthumous World War 3 and/or a Gulag incarceration that renders such a mention moot.
At any rate, I meant to mention in my preceding posting here ("Another year") that the title of my latest aforementioned annual Hesperado essay -- "Be seeing you" -- alludes to another No.-6-ism which Patrick McGoohan's character was wont to utter with his clenched jaw of ruthlessly acerbic, trenchantly ironic wit.
