Industrial Complexes

So far, Celia Farber is the only mid-sized cheese out there who uses the phrase "LGBTQ Industrial Complex", echoing my frequent use of "Trans Industrial Complex". Why no one else uses it becomes more and more mystifying every day that passes during which all the other pundits continuing bitching and moaning about the problem without adequately appreciating its nature & dimension -- which appreciation would be signaled by use of said term. That would be the least they could do.

And I would add this particular Industrial Complex is not the only one, but is one among many, in a mosaic of interlocking Industrial Complexes -- the most brazenly ambitious (and successful, despite its various distractingly ragged edges) being the Covid Industrial Complex.

Jennifer Bilek basically describes the Trans-Industrial Complex, though as far as I know she never uses that handy term:

Twitter, like many (if not most) things in life, isn't all bad. When I swim around there, I bump into a lot of salutary and even heartening accounts helmed by people I'd say are more or less "in my Tribe". The question why would Twitter even allow so many accounts like that to flourish (accounting -- pun intended -- for the ongoing problem of accounts being punished in one way or another) is a persistent question that complicates the rational conspiracy theory; but is likely a fruitful question nonetheless (even if the fruit thereof is difficult to ascertain).
